9UV is the recovery fluid for UV curable print heads: Dimatix, Ricoh, Kyocera, Xaar, Konica-Minolta, Hitachi, Toshiba Tec, etc. One of our strongest UV solutions, which can dissolve an almost cured UV ink. WARNING! Use this solution only on PHD machines with advanced pumps, or produced after 2019, otherwise it will void your warranty on the pumps. Do not leave this solution inside a print head for more than 1 hour. Flush the head out using the Intermediate Fluid or fluid 1DX or, if applicable, with the flushing solution that came with the inks that were used on that print head.

Due to a high viscosity, fluid 9UV will not create a curtain at a safe pressure in a print head. To solve this problem, you can thin out 9UV with 10-15% of acetone, and you'll have to have it heated to 30-35°C before you can see a curtain.

CAUTION: fluid 9UV should be used only with a PHD machine placed under a fume hood or in a vented room. In addition, you should wear a respirator equipped with an ogranic vapour filters. We recommend 3M full-face respirators with 3M cartridges p/n 6001 or 6006. If wearing a half-face respirator, you must wear the chemical goggles.
